    Our Speaker will be Kay Bachman.  Kay is an Associate Professor with WSU’s Engineering and Technology Management Degree Program.  Courses she teaches are Leading People and Organizations, Project Management, and Integrated Supply Chain. 

    Kay’s past experiences as a project manager spans nearly 30 years while managing a range of project types. She has been involved in the architectural and construction industry, facilities management, electrical engineering, city government, and technology information services. She is credited with implemented project management methodologies to several local organizations.

    Our time together will involve:

    • An introduction which is more personal than my bio.
    • Context for Project Management
      • Engagement with audience for identifying Supply Chain Challenges
      • How solutions to Supply Chain problems turn into projects
      • Define project and show comparison of projects vs processes
    • Four Practical Steps
    1. Define The Scope of the Project.
    2. Identify Stakeholders and How Best to Engage with the Stakeholders.
    3. Determine Uncertainty and Risk.
    4. Finish the project well.
