Barrister Winery started when Greg Lipsker and Michael White, two Spokane attorneys, visited a British Columbia wine shop while vacationing with their families.  Together they bought a 5-gallon wine making kit which later grew to 50 gallons.  By 2000, they crushed 1.5 tons of grapes in Greg's garage which produced their first award-winning batch of wine.  They entered this in the Indy International Wine Competition and walked away with 4 awards - one silver and three gold medals.  This validation spurred them forward and in 2001, Barrister Winery was launched.

As the winery grew, so did the accolades.  Vintage after vintage won awards including "Best of Show" at the esteemed Los Angeles Wine of the World competition.  Barrister Wines claim consistent 90+ point scores in the industry's most prestigious wine magazine.  This outstanding product, coupled with the superior customer service given during daily wine tastings, earned them uncompromised devotion from their faithful followers.

Our group will have the pleasure viewing how this operation runs behind the front tasting room.  We'll see how everything comes together. in producing this exemplary product.  Please join us Tuesday, October 14 at 4:30 for a tour of Barrister Winery, located at 1213 West Railroad Alley in downtown Spokane.  We will meet in the tasting room before starting the tour.  The gift shop will be open afterwards if you are interested in making a purchase.
